English 102 Online
In English 102 Online, we will discuss literature as an art form through close analytical readings of selected essays, short stories, poems, and a play. Story-telling and oratory are as old as humanity; through our exploration of assigned texts across several layers and dimensions, we will also learn about and practice college argumentation and critical thinking. For English 102 Online, there will only be one regular class meetings for the mandatory orientation in JH 310 on Thursday, February 9 from 7:30 – 9:30 pm. The rest of the course will proceed online using LACC’s Etudes Portal, accessible at http://www.lacitycollege.edu via the For Students tab. You will not be able to log in for the course in Etudes until the beginning of classes. Instructions about how to log in may be found at www.lacitycollege.edu/online/Menu.htm. If you already know how to log in, you can go directly to https://myetudes.org/portal after February 5. Contact Prof GGP directly if you have already taken a class with her before.
